In this episode, Joseph will talk about a title that is the creation of their leadership coaching and the launch of their book called Alpha Leadership. Joseph will tell us what Alpha is and is not and the acronym of ALPHA. Alpha leadership is based on Joseph’s experiences as a young man who grew up in a very abusive home. He went through many different things in life, and because of those things, he learned.

We learn from the good experiences, we learn from the bad experiences, and we learn from the indifferent experiences. We can take those experiences and learn from them to create better opportunities. We have a choice to be a victim or a victor. It’s up to us.

Hey everyone, and welcome to another great show of Purpose Through Pain Podcast. I am your host, Joseph James. I want to talk to you today about a, not just a subject, but a title to something that is the creation of our leadership coaching. It's also going to be, and something I'm extremely excited about writing or publishing is our book called Alpha Leadership. Now let me tell you what Alpha is not, and then I will tell you what Alpha is and it's the letters A L P H A. Alpha is not a domineering mentality, is not a I'm going to take control over everybody and bully them or confine them or rule them. That's what it's not. Alpha's not a male only chauvinistic style of mentality, but it is something that I would like to define as pulling something from with inside of you and leading the Alpha leader who you were created to be. The reason why I talk about Alpha leadership, Based off of my personal experiences as a young man that grew up in a very abusive home, verbally abusive, lot of different things in life, hating my father, wishing my dad had died when it was, when my mom had passed away. But then fast forward 14 years, watching my dad die, my absolute best friend only to be proceed by my wife passing away 22 days later. I went through a lot of different things in life and because of those things we learn, right? We learn from the good experiences, we learn from the bad experiences, we learn from the indifference experiences. We have the choice to take those experiences and learn from them to create better opportunities. We have a choice to be a victim or a victor. It's up to us. After losing my dad and my wife all in the same month, I started to search out, trying to find myself. I had no idea where to go, what to do. I thought traveling was going to be it, working my business, going to different seminars and workshops about motivation and inspiration and innovation and creation. But after several months of doing this, I realized that, that was not finding the answers that I needed. And after the repeated question of Joseph, why is it that you can smile in the midst of so much adversity? How is it that you're able to stay so positive? How are you able to move on and move forward in life knowing that you've dealt with so much pain and hurt and trauma, so much sacrifice and suffering. Why is it Joseph? And the more I begin to hear that question, honestly, to begin with, I just truly did not know. And so I started to try to figure it out and I figured out some things that was allowing me and helping me to get through certain circumstances and situations and the current elements that I was going through, and I realized that everything that I had ever gone through in life prepared me for what I was walking through right then and there. And I began to pull the things out within myself, I begin to dig deep and not chase after people to help me or seminars or the newest workshop or the video that would help you break through. Not that those things are not beneficial because they are, but again, begin to pull out the things within me that were already there, already planted over the years. It was the Alpha Leader. It was the person that was going to get me through my obstacles, my circumstances, my downfalls, my failures, my successes. I began to realize that it was me, and everything within me was going to be the person, the thing, the idea to get me to where I need to be. And that's where I created Alpha Leadership.

in beginning first quarter of:

ALPHA, my first letter is being Authentic. See, we all have had negative thoughts about ourself, things that have been said over us, that have held us back, challenges that we have faced and or adversities that kept us stuck or feeling lost or even losing the desire in life and Alpha Leadership isreating and redefining one's self belief and approach to leading in response to unpredictable challenges in life. That's you, that's you leading you, because how can we be a leader of other people if we're truly not leading ourselves. So Authentic. The Miriam Webster dictionary says authentic is being actually, and exactly what is claimed. I'm gonna read that again, the definition of authentic and the Miriam Webster dictionary being actually an exactly what is claimed. So what are you claiming over yourself? What are you saying? What are you believing? What has formed you in your thought process? What has been spoken over you? What have you spoken over yourself? What have you believed from others or even believed about yourself that has caused you to be in the mindset that you're at now? Now pain can come in a lot of different forms, in a lot of different ways and can all affect us differently. Some of us have had bad experiences from relationships, maybe a harsh upbringing, physically, verbally, mentally, all abusive, maybe even sexually. Maybe you've had pain or trauma when it comes to business, finances, a significant other divorce, broken hearts, we all experience pain. And pain can be the very crutch that gets you stuck or it could be the thing that launches you into your destiny. See, I believe that when we're walking through the fire, we have one of two choices. It can either destroy us or it can refine us. The choice is ours. So I am believing that at the sound of my voice, your lives can be changed because that is our mission, is to change the lives of every person at the sound of my voice. I want to reach the nations with my message, and the message is that you have the ability to not only be authentic, but be who you have claimed to be. Maybe you haven't gotten there yet, maybe you're not there in terms of claiming what you want or who you want to be. I believe that you can do this today, and I believe you can continue to do it. So a couple questions that I ask is, who do you say you are? What do you say you are? And for me, who does God say that I am? See, to be authentic, we have to think differently because it's going to drive different actions in our life. The power of our words can change the way we think, the way we see, the way we react, and the way we report. I'm gonna say that again, the power of our words can change the way we think, the way we see, the way we react and the way we report. When we are being authentic, it allows the true self what we have claimed we are. If you're always beating yourself up, if you're saying you're not pretty enough, If you're saying you're a victim and you don't, you may not even necessarily be saying it out loud verbally, but you're thinking it, I'm not beautiful, I'm not handsome, I'm overweight, I'm too skinny, I'm smart, I'm dumb, I am not this, or I am not that. See, those are the things that we are claim in that allow us to walk in the authenticity because you can be authentic and be negative, and you can be authentic and be positive. What are you speaking? What are you claiming over yourself? Authentic, being actually an exactly what is claimed. I am who God says I am. You may not have a spiritual belief, so who do you say that you are? Being authentic is creating who you want to be and then walking in it. Two words that changed my life and changed the way I thought about myself as well as my circumstances is the two words I am, I am allowed me to think differently, it allowed me to start seeing who I truly was and who I truly wanted to be. I am sure at some point in time in your life you have said those words, I am going to go do something. I am handsome or I am pretty, I am who I say I am. There's a lot of different circumstances that we've used those words at, but have those words been able to redefine who you are or who you have, truly, who you truly want to be. See, your I am statement may push you to greatness and it will ignite a fire inside of you. It will teach you how to take your words and become a daily habit to create the alpha leader within yourself, with high performance thinking and actions, I am in help push through adversity and challenges, it can fuel your beliefs, starve your fears, feeds your faith, define who you are and build confidence. I am has the ability to recreate, reinvent, restructure your mindset to becoming who you are called to be, and that is to be authentic, that is to be an alpha leader. I love you guys. Stay tuned for more because this whole entire, over this next month, over these next four to five episodes, we are going to be talking about the A in ALPHA, being authentic, because that's who we all need to be and that is the A in ALPHA.
